Linda I. Bailey, 74, of Fullerton, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Merrick Medical Center in Central City.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fullerton with Reverend William L’Heureux officiating. To honor Linda’s wishes, cremation was chosen, and a private family inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. vigil service on Tuesday, April 30, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fullerton. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home is serving the family.

Linda was born July 17, 1949, to Delmar and Reva (Marco) Steenson in Palmer. She graduated from Wolbach High School in 1967. After graduation, she went to college in Kansas City before moving back to Wolbach and working at the Army Ammunition Plant in Grand Island. On June 8, 1968, she was united in marriage to Jack Bailey in Wolbach. They lived in Grand Island and Bartlett until 1969, when they moved to Fullerton. She worked at Fullerton Public Schools for 20 years and worked at 1st Bank & Trust of Fullerton as a teller and payroll clerk for 35 years.

She enjoyed helping others and conversing with people. She loved playing cards, golfing, and fishing. She spent many hours playing cards with her sisters and nieces. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and attending their activities. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Eagles Club, and board member of Pawnee Hills Golf Course.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jack of Fullerton; children, Todd (Deanna) Bailey of Doniphan, Mark (Marlo) Bailey of Little Elm, Texas, and Lori (Dan) Zegers of Fullerton; grandchildren, Justin Robinson, Dylan Fuehrer, Derion (Jared) Schieber, Denic Bailey, Paige (Nick) Lonowski, and Jackson (Kamryn) Bailey; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Tom (Susan) Steenson of Wolbach, Mike (Patsy) Steenson of Grand Island, Marge Dubas and Betsy Dubas of Columbus, Penny (Gerry) Small of Fullerton, and Mary Reab of Grand Island; sisters-in-law, Diane Steenson of Columbus and Jan Steenson of Wolbach; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, JoAnn (Edwin) Dubas, Pat Steenson, John Steenson, and Judy Steenson; brother-in-law, Dan Dubas; two great-grandchildren, Thomas Lonowski and Sofie Robinson. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for designation at a later date.
