Warriors wrestle at Elm Creek, Dunning

ELM CREEK — The Warriors had a busy couple of days on the wrestling mat.Fullerton finished 14th out of 19 teams on Friday at the Elm Creek Invite.Mason Hemmingsen finished third at 113 pounds, going 3-1 on the day.

Free throw woes doom Warriors to Goldenrod exit

BURWELL — Free throw struggles helped lead the Warriors to an early exit from the Goldenrod Conference Tournament.Fullerton connected on just 11-of-28 free throw attempts in Saturday’s 41-30 opening round loss to Burwell.

Fullerton 4th grade improves to 6-1

The Fullerton 4th Grade basketball team traveled to Greeley on January 17th to play two league games at Central Valley. The young Warriors were hit by the flu bug all week, having several players miss school and practice with illness.

Titans compete in David City

DAVID CITY — Twin River competed in the Aquinas Invitational on Saturday in David City.The Titans had two wrestlers — Zach Held and Braxtin Fowler — make it to the podium.Held was the 126-pound champion.

No. 4 Warriors get wins over Eagles, Bearcats

FULLERTON — The Warriors added two more victories to the win column last week.Class D-1 No. 4 Fullerton (10-2) picked up a 64-25 win over Nebraska Christian at home on Thursday and then a 62-57 road win over Hampton-Heartland on Friday.

EWING — The Warriors had a strong showing on Saturday at the Summerland Bobcat Invite.Five Fullerton wrestlers found themselves on the podium at the end of the day. Mason Hemmingsen (113 pounds) and Tate Wood (120 pounds) won their brackets. Isaac Carey finished second at 285 pounds.

Titans drop close ones to Panthers, Dragons

GENOA — The Titans girls basketball team lost two games last week by a combined five points.Twin River could not hold onto a 10-point first quarter lead on Thursday in their 45-42 loss to Newman Grove/St. Edward. Then on Friday they dropped a 47-45 game at Madison.

Warriors show improvement in losses

FULLERTON — The Warriors remain winless on the season, but they continue to show improvement on the court.Fullerton dropped a pair of games last week, falling to Nebraska Christian 51-31 at home on Thursday and Hampton/Heartland 47-36 on the road on Friday.

MacDonald wrestles in Malcolm

MALCOLM — The Twin River girls wrestling team returned to the matt on Friday after the holiday break.Zoey MacDonald completed in the 115-pound weight class. She was pinned in the first round byeventual champion Hayley Serfontein of Southern Valley/Arapahoe.
