Titan coach wins 450th game

ORD — It’s a milestone that has been looming all season. On Tuesday, Twin River coach Renae Van Driel surpassed the 450-win plateau. She currently sits with a record of 450-231 in 22 seasons.The Titans cruised to an 11-0 win over Ord.

Titans look to regroup after loss

GENOA — Twin River ran into a tough David City defense on Friday and the Titans were unable to find the end zone until the fourth quarter, falling 42-16 to the Scouts.“We had a great gameplan coming in,” Twin River coach Kalin Koch said. “The kids had a good week of practice.

BUSY RUNNING WEEK

ORD — It was a busy week for Fullerton’s runners.Fullerton ran in the UNK Invite on Monday.Elena Reimer finished 126th overall with a time of 28:27 in the girls Class D race. Tate Wood finished 80th overall with a time of 20:36 in the boys Class D race.

Warriors tested by No. 6 Jaguars

HOWELLS — Fullerton faced its toughest competition of the season on Friday when they took on D-2 No. 6 Howells-Dodge.The Jaguars (5-0) used big plays to grab the momentum early in their 44-20 win over Fullerton. Senior Hunter Luther capped scoring drives with 57- and 70-yard runs.

MADISON — The Titans may have turned a corner as they head into the final month of the regular season.Twin River swept Madison 25-21, 25-18, 25-14 for their third win of the season.

HENDERSON — What was originally scheduled as Fullerton’s home invite turned into a road trip last week.The Fullerton Invite had been moved from Pawnee Hills Golf Course in Fullerton to Galaway Creek Golf Course in Henderson.The Warriors finished 10th overall with a team score of 503.
