Titans top Longhorns, 65-21

DORCHESTER — Twin River has been playing the best basketball of their season over the last couple of weeks.The Titans, winners of 6 of the last 7 games, picked up a convincing road win on Friday, topping Dorchester 65-21 to improve to 10-10 on the year.

GRAND ISLAND — Fullerton and Twin River wrapped the regular season on Saturday at the Crusader Invitational at Grand Island Central Catholic.Fullerton finished seventh overall with 61 points. Twin River finished 14th. Scotus Central Catholic took home the team title, finishing with 213 points.

Titans cruise past Hawks, fall to Longhorns

GENOA — It was like the Titans could do no wrong on Thursday.Twin River cruised to a 50-15 win at home over Hampton.The Ti t a n s capitalized on their pressure defense from the opening tip. As soon as the Hawks inbounded the ball, Titan defenders jumped into action.

BRAINARD — Twin River traveled to East Butler on Thursday for the Crossroads Conference Invite.Twin River finished 10th at the conference invite. Shelby-Rising City finished first with 116 points. Cross County/Osceola finished second with 108.5 point.Cade Kunkel finished second at 106 pounds.

FULLERTON — The second quarter was the difference-maker on Saturday.Fullerton was held scoreless during the second quarter of their 39-27 loss to Heartland Lutheran.

Wrestling season ends at girls’ district

PIERCE — Fullerton’s girls wrestlers saw their season come to an end at the NSAA Class B District 3 at Pierce.West Holt (143 points) edged Pierce (136 points) to win the district title. Crofton/Bloomfield finished third with 130.5 points.

FULLERTON — The Warriors used a balanced attack and a new defense to pick up a win at home on Thursday.Fullerton had four players score 7 or more points as they cruised to a 47-29 win over Lutheran-Northeast.

ALBION — Fullerton’s girls wrestlers traveled to Albion on Saturday for the Dale Bonge Invitational at Boone Central.West Holt took home the team title with 156 points. Wayne finished second with 151 points.The girls’ district is Friday and Saturday at Pierce.
