Titan boys fall to No. 8 Tigers

BRAINARD — The Titans faced an uphill battle on Saturday.Finding themselves down 25-2 after the first quarter, Twin River fought and clawed for the rest of the game, but Class D-1 No. 8 East Butler showed why they are undefeated on the season.

STANTON — Not a bad way to spend the weekend.Twin River completed the sweep Saturday night, defeating Tri-County Northeast 62-58 in overtime to win the Stanton Holiday Tournament.

STANTON — That’s how you bounce back from a loss. You make your next opponent pay.Twin River picked up a win on Saturday in the consolation game of the Stanton Holiday Tournament, defeating Neligh-Oakdale 55-24 to improve to 4-3 on the season.

FRIEND — The Warriors split a pair of games to finish third at the Exeter-Milligan/Friend Holiday Tournament.Fullerton bounced back on Saturday in the consolation game to defeat Shelby-Rising City 63-34.

Warriors hold on for 63-52 win despite Titan rally

FULLERTON — Friday’s showdown between the Warriors and Titans was everything a rivalry game is supposed to be. In the end, the home team held on for a 63-52 win.“Out of the last 10 matchups we only had 2 wins,” Fullerton coach Will Wagner said. “It was good for our kids to get that win.

Titans beat Warriors 45-24, first win in five matchups

FULLERTON — There are certain games that teams circle on their calendars. Games against conference and district opponents always carry added weight. Rivalry games also matter a little more.Twin River coach Matthew Quick said that his team’s 45-24 win over Fullerton was a statement win.
