GENOA — The Titan threw everything they had at the Huskies. If they had a kitchen sink, they probably would have thrown that as well.Twin River used smothering defense and a face-paced offense to slow down Shelby-Rising City in a 51-17 win.

Titans open season at Broken Bow

BROKEN BOW — Twin River opened their wrestling season on Saturday at the Broken Bow Invite.Zach Held was undefeated on the day at 120 pounds. He finished with 2 pins on the day and defeated St. Paul’s Derrick Ruzicka by a technical fall in a 17-2 decision in the match to decide first place.

Titans fall in 2 close games

GENOA— The Titans opened the season with a pair of losses at home, but they lost by a combined three total points.Twin River opened the season on Thursday with a 42-41 loss to Nebraska Christian and followed that up by a 48-46 loss to Shelby-Rising City on Saturday.

Warriors fall to Storm in home-opener

FULLERTON — Fullerton ran into a tough High Plains team on Saturday and are still searching for their first win of the year.The Storm limited the Warriors to just 9 points over the final three quarters of a 44-17 contest. Fullerton connected on just four shots from the field on Saturday.

Warriors off to strong start this season

CENTRAL CITY — Fullerton wrestlers got their first taste of action this season with a dual against Nebraska Christian on Thursday and at the Lakeview Invite on Friday.The Warriors defeated the Eagles 39-29, but there were only three contested matches at the dual.

GENOA — Nebraska Christian’s pressure defense was too much for Twin River on Thursday.The Titans fell to the Class D1 No. 8 Eagles 63-41 to open the season. Twin River (0-1) struggled against the Nebraska Christian (1-0) press throughout the contest.
