Warriors fall in 5 sets at subdistrict

Fullerton’s volleyball season came to an end on Monday in the D1-6 Subdistrict at Nebraska Christian. Fullerton fell to Riverside, winning the first two sets, 25-23, 25-19, before dropping three straight sets to the Chargers, 25-22, 2519, 15-7. Official stats from Monday’s match were unavailable.

Volleyball and football titles will be on TV

LINCOLN — November brings NSAAState High School Volleyball and Football championships to Nebraska Public Media.Volleyball championships are Saturday, Nov. 9 with Class D-2 at 9 a.m., followed by Class D-1 at 11 a.m., Class C-2 at 1 p.m., Class C-1 at 3 p.m., Class B at 5 p.m., Class A at 7 p.m.

Twin River’s football team did something this year that no other Titan squad was able to accomplish. The team finished the season with a winning record. Twin River shutout Humphrey-Lindsay Academy 40-0 on Friday to wrap up the football season.

Titans achieve winning season

GENOA — For the first time in Twin River’s school history, the Titans have finished the season with a winning record.The playoffs were never in the cards for this Titans squad. Going into the season they knew they were not going to be playoff eligible.

Warriors hit road for playoffs

The Warriors are headed for the football playoffs.Fullerton (5-3) travel to Bancroft-Rosalie (7-1) on Thursday for the opening round of the Class D2 playoffs. Kickoff is at 6 p.m.The Panthers enter the playoffs coming off a 54-28 loss to Wynot.

RECORD SETTING SENIOR

NORTH PLATTE — Not a bad way to finish out your high school golf career.Fullerton’s Keila Dubas finished 21st at the Class C NSAA Girls’ Golf Championships at Lake Maloney Golf Club. She finished with a two-day score of 184, setting a new Warrior program record for best two-day score at state.

Warriors send 3 runners to State meet

McCOOL JUNCTION — Fullerton runners are headed back to State.The Warriors qualified three runners for Friday’s 2024 Class D State Championship Meet at Kearney Country Club. Sophomore Tate Wood will run at 2:30 p.m. and seniors Morgan Supik and Makayla Robinson will run at 3:30 p.m.

CENTRAL CITY — Fullerton dropped a five-set thriller to Archangels Catholic on Thursday in the opening round of the Goldenrod Conference Tournament.The Warriors jumped out to a fast start, taking the first two sets 25-10, 26-24.

Titans go 2-1 in conference tournament

YORK — Twin River got its first taste of the Crossroads Conference Tournament at the York Auditorium, but it did not go the way the Titans wanted.Osceola defeated Twin River 25-17, 25-16 in the opening round of the conference tournament on Saturday.
