OSCEOLA — It looked like whoever had the ball last was going to win.Fullerton overcame struggles on point-after-touchdown attempts to hold off Osceola (2-2), spoiling the Bulldog homecoming, 40-38. The Warriors converted just 2-of-6 two-point conversion attempts on Friday.

Patriots run by Titans to open district

GENOA — It’s hard to win a football game when the other team runs for 500 yards.Clarkson/Leigh picked up their first win of the season, running past Twin River (2-2) on their way to a 60-34 win on Friday to open district play. The Patriots ran for 503 yards and 6 touchdowns.

MARQUETTE — Fullerton runners continued to push themselves, competing at Valley View Country Club on Thursday for the Central City Invite.Morgan Supik finished 13th overall with a time of 22:21. Makayla Robinson finished 20th with a time of 23:12.

No. 5 Titans look to rebound after losses

Twin River dropped a pair of games last week to some good competition.The Class C No. 5 Titans traveled to Hastings on Tuesday to take on Class C No. 1 St. Cecilia. The Hawkettes cruised to a 15-3 win in 3 innings.Twin River (20-5) was held to just 3 hits in the game.

O’NEILL — The Titans competed on Friday at the O’Neill Invite at the O’Neill Country Club.Caleb Rood finished 21st overall with a time of 19:56.Micah Stenzel finished 31st with a time of21.07.Pierce sophomore Kendall Shada won the race with a time of 17:07.

Warriors have busy week playing golf

Fullerton had a busy week of golf.On Tuesday the Warriors traveled to Friend for the Exeter-Milligan/Friend Invite at the Friend Country Club.Keila Dubas finished 12th overall, shooting a 101. Kinzie Sharman finished 31st with a 128. Lylla Sabata finished 38th with a 159.

HENDERSON — Everyone loves a spoiler.Twin River crashed Heartland’s Homecoming festivities on Friday and sent the Husky fans away with a bad taste in their mouth. The Titans ran away with a 56-30 win.“We played good football,” Twin River coach Kalin Koch said.
