Titans fall to Bulldogs

GENOA — Twin River played host to Osceola in a conference match-up on Thursday. The Titans pushed the Bulldogs to four sets before falling 25-12, 25-11, 2125, 25-21.The first set went to Osceola, after they got an early lead.

Runners battle wet conditions

ALBION — Fullerton and Twin River continued their cross country seasons on Friday at the Boone Central Invite at Albion Country Club.Makayla Robinson finished 23rd with a time of 22:56, which was 41 seconds faster than she ran at the event last year. Morgan Supik finished 37th with a time of 23:40.

Warriors hold on for 32-30 win

PALMER — What a finish. It looked like whoever had the ball last would win the game.Leading 32-30, Fullerton (1-0) punted and pinned Palmer (0-1) on their 1-yard line with 1:58 remaining in the game and dared them to beat them.

Titan defense shines in 54-0 win

GILTNER — You never would have guessed the Titans just installed a new defense.Twin River looked like they have been running the same defense for more than a decade, shutting out Giltner in a 54-0 win to open the season.

Titans go 1-2 at Minden Invite

MINDEN — The Titans made some adjustments and finished the day 1-2 at the Minden Invite on Saturday.Twin River opened the day with a 25-9, 25-7 loss to Adams Central. They saw improvement in their second match, falling 25-13, 25-23 to Nebraska Christian.

FULLERTON — Fullerton’s Keila Dubas played her best 9-holes of golf last week.The senior golfer shot a 41 last Tuesday for the low score of the day during the Warrior’s dual meet with Boone Central at Pawnee Hills. The Cardinals defeated the Warriors 225-259.

Warriors fall on road

STROMSBURG — It was not the season-opener they were looking for, but Fullerton hung around with Cross County most of the night.Fullerton opened the season with a three-set loss to Cross County on Thursday, falling 26-24, 25-8, 25-21. Despite the scoreboard, the match was competitive.
