All-Stars showcased in Columbus

COLUMBUS — Central Community College-Columbus will host four all-star high school games in June.On Wednesday, June 5, the softball game will take place at 5 p.m. at Raider Field.On Thursday, June 6, the volleyball game will take place at the Raider Fieldhouse. The first serve is set for 7 p.m.

OMAHA — Eight athletes from Nance County were on hand Friday and Saturday for the Class C & D Track State Championships at Burke High School in Omaha.Kirk Hebda represented the Titans in Omaha. The Twin River grad competed in the triple jump on Friday. He finished 20th with a jump of 39-07.50.

Titans see golf season end at district

GRAND ISLAND — Twin River saw its golf season come to an end in the C-4 District meet at Indianhead Golf Course on Tuesday, May 14.Twin River finished 12th, shooting a 393. St. Paul took home the district title, edging Doniphan-Trumbull by three strokes to finish with a 319.

Warriors see golf season end at district

GRAND ISLAND — Fullerton saw their golf season come to an end on Monday in the D-1 District at Indianhead Golf Course.Fullerton finished ninth overall, shooting 404 as a team.Lawrence Nelson held onto a two-stroke lead over Sutton to take home the team title with a score of 350.

NORTH BEND — Twin River had one final stop ahead of this week’s district golf meet.Twin River finished seventh on Wednesday last week at the East Husker Conference Tournament at the North Bend Golf Course. Tekamah-Herman took home the team title with a low score of 311.

Titans sending 1 to state track meet

UTICA — The Titans will be represented in Omaha.Twin River had one athlete qualify for the 2024 State Track and Field Championships on Friday and Saturday at Omaha Burke Stadium. Kirk Hebda punched his ticket in the triple jump, finishing third with a jump of 41-03.75. He will compete at 11:30 a.m.

Warriors sending 7 to state track meet

FULLERTON — The Warriors are not done yet.Fullerton is sending seven athletes to Omaha for the 2024 State Track and Field Championships on Friday and Saturday at Omaha Burke Stadium. The boys finished 5th in the D-5 District on Wednesday. The girls finished 7th.
