Titans, Warriors shine outside

CENTRAL CITY — Area runners got their first taste of outdoor track season last Tuesday.Fullerton and Twin River traveled to Central City High School for the Merrick County Invitational. Teams were not limited on the number of entries for this meet.

Spring paused as winter returns with snow, ice

Area teams had to press pause on their spring seasons as cold weather returned to the area.The Titans baseball team saw a pair of road games postponed from Saturday and Monday. Twin River will look to reschedule their games with Louisville and Raymond Central for later this spring.

Warriors have high expectations for year

FULLERTON — The Warriors are back on the track and have high expectations for the new season.Fullerton has 18 athletes competing this spring, including several state-qualifiers from last year’s squad.“Well, my outlook for the season is one of excitement,” Fullerton coach Jason Maxfield said.

Titans look to improve every day

GENOA — Twin River may not be the deepest team on the golf course, but the Titans will look to compete every time they step up to the tee.“With only six out, the challenge will be to get everyone playing their best golf every time out,” Twin River coach Scott Fehringer said.

Titans earn East Husker season honors

GENOA — Several Titans are receiving all-conference honors following the conclusion of the basketball season.Senior Kirk Hebda was named to the East Husker All-Conference second team. Seniors Tim Jarecki and Ryder Kleckner and junior Paydon Rinkol received all-conference honorable mentions.

FULLERTON — Several Warriors are receiving all-conference honors following the conclusion of the basketball season.Freshman Kane Wetovick was named to the Goldenrod All-Conference first team. Juniors Fletcher Dubas and Nolan Dubas received allconference honorable mentions.
