Warriors fall in semi-final

CAIRO — Fullerton saw its season come to an end on Tuesday, falling 58-3 to host Centura in the semi-final of the D1-5 Sub-District. The Warriors (10-13) were held scoreless through the first two quarters.

STROMSBURG — It is hard to beat the same team twice in one season. It’s even harder to beat the same team twice in a week. Twin River (8-12) saw its season come to an end on Monday, falling to a team they defeated four days earlier.

Thomas finishes season at district meet

BATTLE CREEK — Riley Thomas saw her season come to an end on Friday at the 2024 NSAA Girls Wrestling District 1 at Battle Creek. The Fullerton freshman opened her day against Lyons-Decatur Northeast’s Alizabeth Whitley. Whitley earned a pin in 4:49.

Titans, Warriors learn Sub-District opponents

The path to Lincoln is set and the final push begins on Monday. Fullerton and Twin River learned their Sub-District fates on Thursday morning. Fullerton will play in the D1-5 Sub-District at Centura and Twin River will play in the C2-5 Sub-District at Cross County.

NSAA releases 2024, 2025 football schedules

The NSAA released the 2024 and 2025 football schedules on Wednesday. Fullerton will open the 2024 football season on the road at Palmer. Twin River opens the 2024 season on the road at Giltner. Football schedules are planned on a two-year cycle.

ALBION — Fullerton freshman Riley Thomas has advanced to NSAA District 1 at Battle Creek on Friday. “It shows that my hard work is paying off,” Thomas said. “It means a lot, considering how much time and effort and all the hard work this season.
