SHELBY — Senior defensive lineman Ryder Kleckner looked tired after his 1-5 Twin River football team lost 44-0 to host Shelby-Rising City Friday night and given the positive energy he’d dished out in battling S-RC’s physical squad, it made sense.

McCOOL JUNCTION — Fullerton picked up a four-set win on Thursday, defeating McCool Junction 25-22, 25-16, 21-25, 25-11 to improve to 11-5 on the year. McKenna Plumbtree had 27 kills in the win. Lainie Ziemba added 12 kills. Isabel Norman finished with 4 aces.

GENOA — The path is set. The journey to Hastings and ultimately Omaha begins on Monday. No. 7 Twin River (20-7) will play host to Filmore Central/Exeter-Milligan/Friend (17-13) at 4:15 p.m. on Monday in the opening game of the C-7 Sub-District.
