Warriors finish 2nd at conference meet

HUMPHREY — They are right where they want to be heading into the district meet. The Warriors had one final tune-up before running in the D-4 District at Elks County Club on Wednesday.

PENDER — Twin River boys finished 10th at the 2023 East Husker Conference Meet at Twin Creeks Golf Club on Thursday. The Titans finished with 165 team points at the event. Micah Stenzel finished 35th with a time of 21:43.20. Robert Elm finished 42nd with a time of 22:43.88.

Warrior golfers headed to state

COLUMBUS — The Warriors are headed to state. Fullerton finished third with a team score of 421 on Wednesday, behind Scotus Central Catholic (363) and Oakland-Craig (412) at the C-2 District at Quail Run in Columbus. The top three teams qualify for state.

OSCEOLA — It’s really hard to beat a team that can score from anywhere on the field. That’s the dilemma Fullerton (3-3) faced when they took on Osceola (5-1) on Friday. The Bulldogs scored early and often on their way to a 60-30 win over the Warriors.

MADISON — What a difference a week makes. Twin River avenged a loss on the same court from a week earlier, defeating Madison 25-20, 25-20 to pick up their first win of the season on Thursday. The Titans had lost 16 straight games to open the season.
