MURRAY — What a way to open the season. Twin River overcame a slow start, scoring three times in the second quarter and the Titans (1-0) never looked back as they cruised to a 44-25 road win over Conestoga (0-1).

Titans win Fillmore Central Invite

GENEVA — Twin River outscored its opponents 34-8 on Saturday to return home as Fillmore Central Invite champions. Twin River 8, Southern/Diller Odell 1 The Titans scored early and often against the Thunder. JLee Van Driel went 3-for-3 and scored twice at the top of the lineup.

Fullerton golfers hit links at Albion

ALBION — Fullerton golfers were back in action on Monday, traveling to Albion Country Club to take on Boone Central. Monday’s contest was rescheduled from last week due to the heat. Boone Central edged Fullerton 208-214.

Titans show promise at Minden Invite

MINDEN — Twin River opened the volleyball season on Saturday, dropping a trio of matches to Adams Central, Nebraska Christian and Valentine. Two of the three opponents are ranked in the state. Adams Central is currently ranked No. 8 in Class C-1 and Nebraska Christian is ranked No. 8 in Class D-1.

Fullerton, Twin River runners compete at St. Paul Invite

ST. PAUL – Fullerton and Twin River kicked off the cross country season on Thursday, battling the heat and other runners at the St. Paul Invite. Fullerton coach Jordan Wetovick said that course, which sits in a pasture behind Milletta Vista Winery, is very rugged and hilly.

Warriors fall at home to Fillies, Cougars

FULLERTON — It wasn't the way they wanted to start the season. Fullerton dropped a pair of matches at home on Thursday, falling to Sutton 25-21, 25-14 and to Cross County 25-16, 25-23. Sutton also defeated Cross County 25-9, 27-25.

Warriors ready to make D-1 volleyball noise

FULLERTON — A new coach. A new class of competition. And four new starters. But don’t expect this season to be a down year for the Warriors. Fullerton opens the volleyball season on Thursday when they welcome Cross County and Sutton to town for a triangular.

Titans enter second year of 8-man football

GENOA — It may be only year No. 2 for 8-man football, but the Titans anticipate taking that next step out on the field this season. Coach Kalin Koch said that they expect to be competitive in most games this season and look for the wins to pile up.
