No. 7 Titans go 3-0 at Fairbury Invite

FAIRBURY — Twin River bats stayed hot on Saturday as the Titans won three games on their way to bringing home the hardware from the Fairbury Invite.The No. 7 Titans opened the day with a 10-2 win over Centennial. They advanced to the title game thanks to a 7-3 win over Lincoln Northwest.

Titans walk-off for win

GENOA — The Titans opened the season with a split at home on Thursday.Twin River dropped the first game to Guardian Angels Central Catholic, 9-7, before bouncing back in the night-cap with a 12-10 win over Blue River.

LEAVING THEIR MARK

Great athletes make their teammates better.Aiden Norman and Delaney Reeg are great athletes. The pair have been named Nance County Journal 2024 Players of the Year. Aiden Norman Fullerton’s Norman and Twin River’s Reeg both were three-sport athletes.

RIVALRIES RENEWED

GENOA — Twin River is leaving the East Husker Conference next year. The Titans have been accepted into the Crossroads Conference, a move that will bring back a number of rivalries from decades past.

Snow may have been falling this week, but softballs were flying for a Twin River freshman. Jlee Van Driel recently attended T.H.E. Camp, put on by the University of Texas softball program. She was at the camp with members of her club softball team, the Hotshots.
