Titans, Warriors run at Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK — Fullerton and Twin River ran at the Battle Creek Invite on Friday.Elena Reimer was Fullerton’s top girl finisher, coming in at 46th overall with a time of 28:35.Kate Tasler of Laurel-Concord-Coleridge won the girls race with a time of 21:31.

Titans pick up win at invite

FORT CALHOUN — The Titans picked up a win over the weekend at the Fort Calhoun Invite.On Saturday, Twin River defeated West Point-Beemer, 29-27, 25-14, and dropped matches to Conestoga, 17-25, 25-17, 25-23, and C-2 No. 4 Guardian Angels Central Catholic, 25-9, 25-12.

Titans hold off Panthers, improve to .500

GENOA — The game was closer than the final score shows.Twin River scored with 2:35 remaining in the game to put a little cushion between them and Newman Grove/St. Edward. The Titans defeated the Panthers 36-28 to improve to 3-3 on the year.

Titan coach wins 450th game

ORD — It’s a milestone that has been looming all season. On Tuesday, Twin River coach Renae Van Driel surpassed the 450-win plateau. She currently sits with a record of 450-231 in 22 seasons.The Titans cruised to an 11-0 win over Ord.

Titans look to regroup after loss

MADISON — The Titans may have turned a corner as they head into the final month of the regular season.Twin River swept Madison 25-21, 25-18, 25-14 for their third win of the season.

GENOA — Twin River picked up a pair of wins last week as the Titans eye the end of the regular season.Twin River earned a 10-5 win over St. Paul on Thursday. On Tuesday, they picked up an 11-3 win over Pierce.

ALBION — Twin River traveled to Albion on Friday for the Tom Dickey Invite.The Titans finished 7th overall. Elkhorn Valley edged Stanton for the team title.Micah Stenzel finished 24th overall with a time of 21:18.
