All-Stars showcased in Columbus

COLUMBUS — Central Community College-Columbus will host four all-star high school games in June.On Wednesday, June 5, the softball game will take place at 5 p.m. at Raider Field.On Thursday, June 6, the volleyball game will take place at the Raider Fieldhouse. The first serve is set for 7 p.m.

OMAHA — Eight athletes from Nance County were on hand Friday and Saturday for the Class C & D Track State Championships at Burke High School in Omaha.Kirk Hebda represented the Titans in Omaha. The Twin River grad competed in the triple jump on Friday. He finished 20th with a jump of 39-07.50.

Titans sending 1 to state track meet

UTICA — The Titans will be represented in Omaha.Twin River had one athlete qualify for the 2024 State Track and Field Championships on Friday and Saturday at Omaha Burke Stadium. Kirk Hebda punched his ticket in the triple jump, finishing third with a jump of 41-03.75. He will compete at 11:30 a.m.

Titans finish fourth at Stanton Invite

 STANTON — The Titans finished fourth on Friday at the Stanton Invite at Elkhorn Acres Golf Course. Twin River finished with a team score of 375. Norfolk’s junior varsity squad took home the team title with a 339. They held a two-stroke lead over Humphrey St. Francis.

Titans, Warriors ready for district track meets

STROMSBURG — Next stop, district.Fullerton will host the D-5 District meet on Wednesday. Twin River travels to Centennial on Thursday for C-6 District meet. The teams had one last tune-up on Thursday in the form of the Cross County Invite.

Titan baseball season ends in district-opener

RALSTON — Twin River saw their season come to an end on Thursday, falling 8-1 to Mount Michael Benedictine in the opening round of the C-4 baseball district.The game was moved from Platteview earlier in the day because of field conditions.
