Twin River competes in final East Husker tournament

OAKLAND — Twin River closed a chapter on Saturday, participating in their final East Husker Conference track meet.The Titans will move to a new home next season as Twin River will join the Crossroads Conference. Saturday’s meet was one last chance to enjoy a little East Husker glory.

OMAHA — Twin River dropped a pair of games on Thursday, falling 11-4 to Omaha North and 15-2 to Class C No. 3 Central City/Centura in five innings.The Vikings limited the Titans to 6 hits in the contest. Twin River also committed 3 errors on defense.

Titans top Huskies, 15-0, fall to No. 8 Falcons, 5-2

GENOA — The Titans picked up a big road win on Thursday before dropping a close one on Friday on Senior Night.Twin River defeated Aurora 15-0 in 6 innings on the road on Thursday. The Titans hammered out 11 hits and scored 10 runs in the final two innings.

Titans have busy week at area invites

Twin River faced off against eight other teams on Wednesday for the David City Invite at the David City Golf Club.The Titans shot a 398. The host team took home the team title, shooting a 313. Clay Brandenburger shot a 90, while Brayden Rinkol finished with a 96.

Titan boys finish third at own invite

GENOA — The Titans played host to six other teams on Thursday for the Twin River Invite. Micah Stenzel finished third in the 3200-meter run. NCJ photo by Rick Holtz The Twin River boys finished third with 66 points. The girls finished sixth with 17 points.

Titan bats explode to top Jeffs, 11-1

FAIRBURY — Twin River’s bats came alive as the Titans hammered out 9 hits on their way to an 11-1 win over Fairbury on Thursday.The Titans jumped out to a fast 3-0 lead in the second inning. They added an insurance run in the third and had the game under control thanks to a 4-run fourth inning.

Area golfers back in the swing of things

ALBION — Fullerton and Twin River were back in the swing of things on Saturday for the Boone Central Invite at Albion Country Club. Kadin Buhl Fullerton finished 7th out of 11 teams with a team score of 372. Twin River finished 11th with a team score of 431.

Titans finish 9th, 10th at High Plains Invite

OSCEOLA — Twin River was back on the track Wednesday for the High Plains Invite at Osceola.The boys’ team finished 9th with 24 team points. The girls’ team finished 10th with 6 team points. Nebraska Christian took home both the boys and girls team titles.Ryder Kleckner won the shot put with a 48-07.
