Nance County gets storm aid

LINCOLN — Governor Jim Pillen is announcing the receipt of federal funds to aid in the recovery from storms that impacted multiple Nebraska counties June 20 – July 8. This is the fourth time federal funds have been awarded to the state due to severe weather this year.

County OKs 2024-2025 budget

FULLERTON — The weight of what happened in Lincoln will be coming to Nance County.The Nance County Board of Supervisors unanimously passed the 2024-2025 budget on Tuesday. This is the first budget passed since the Legislature voted to pass LB34 last week before ending the special session.

Nance County Road Department would like to Thank all Nance County residents for their patience with the fiber installation. Lumen/Century Link are upgrading their copper network with a new fiber optic network that will increase internet speeds dramatically for where this is being placed.

Junior Angus breeders translated their knowledge in the barn to the plate during the 2024 All-American Certified Angus Beef Cook-Off. The competition has a four-decade history at the National Junior Angus Show (NJAS) and is an event favorite.

FULLERTON — The Nance County Fair held its annual extreme bull riding competition at the end of June. To add to the excitement this year, a benefit for Brandyn Berlin, a Genoa native, was incorporated into the event.
