Warriors have high expectations for year

FULLERTON — The Warriors are back on the track and have high expectations for the new season.Fullerton has 18 athletes competing this spring, including several state-qualifiers from last year’s squad.“Well, my outlook for the season is one of excitement,” Fullerton coach Jason Maxfield said.

Warriors earn Goldenrod season honors

FULLERTON — Several Warriors are receiving all-conference honors following the conclusion of the basketball season.Freshman Kane Wetovick was named to the Goldenrod All-Conference first team. Juniors Fletcher Dubas and Nolan Dubas received allconference honorable mentions.

Warriors ready to take next step

FULLERTON — They may be young, but don’t call this a rebuilding year.Fullerton returns two letterwinners to this year’s golf team in a pair of seniors, Zack Hanna and Jerrod Land.

Norman selected for All-Star game

Fullerton senior has been selected to play in this summer’s Sertoma 8-man All-Star Football Game. He will represent the Warriors as a member of the West team, along with 23 other seniors from across the state. This year’s game will be played at Hastings College on Saturday, June 15 with a 6 p.m.

Area teams learn district assignments

Monday marked the official start of the spring sports season and teams are now able to begin holding practices. Last week the Nebraska School Activities Association announced the district assignments for track teams across the state. Fullerton will host the District D-5 meet on May 8.

Bridger wins State Title

OMAHA — It was a storybook ending. Fullerton senior Brett Bridger was standing tall atop the podium in Omaha on Saturday, with gold around his neck. He is a State Champion.

Warriors fall to Chargers in Sub-District semifinal

CEDAR RAPIDS — The game was a lot closer than the final score indicates. Fullerton saw its season come to a close in the semifinal of the D1-5 Sub-District, falling to Riverside 51-33.

Area wrestlers shine first day at state

OMAHA — What a start to state wrestling! After one day of competition, three out of four area wrestlers are guaranteed a medal: for Twin River, Braxtin Fowler and Zach Held and for Fullerton, Brett Bridger.
