Fullerton library buys books with grant

FULLERTON — The Fullerton Public Library was recently awarded the Children’s Book Project grant from the Pilcrow Foundation.Founded in 2013, the Pilcrow Foundation’s mission is to provide new, quality, hardcover children’s books to rural public libraries across the United States.

FULLERTON — They were between a rock and a hard place.The Fullerton Board of Education voted to deny option enrollment to four potential students at their meeting on Monday. The main reason for the denials stem from potential class sizes.

FULLERTON — The city of Fullerton announced a city-wide cleanup day is scheduled for April 5.Bins for trash and scrap iron will be available beginning at 8 a.m. at the Nance County Fairgrounds.

Food pantry moves to new location

FULLERTON — The Fullerton Food Pantry is now located at 205 Fuller St. (old fire hall) along with the Free Little Food Pantry. The pantry is still open every first Wednesday of the month from 5-6:30 p.m. and the Free Little Pantry is open 24/7 for urgent needs or donation drop offs.
