Smith & Sons Repair wins awards for new wrecker

Smith & Sons Repair recently received a pair of awards for one of their new trucks. Dana and his brother Hoss flew out to Baltimore November 21 2024 to received two awards that they had won. Dana entered their newest wrecker that was built at Zips in New Hampton, Iowa in two contests.

Flowerbelles celebrate holiday season with annual Christmas lunch

Ten members of the Flowerbelles had their annual Christmas lunch at Floral Occasions on December 13 where Deb Bittner and Janet Wemhoff served us a wonderful meal. Present were back row Annette Glenn, Jan Hellbusch, Kathy Sonderup, Brenda Malander, Wylene Novicki and Karen Delaney.

NCJ visits kindergarten class, reads story

Nance County Journal coowner Rick Holtz made an appearance in Fullerton’s kindergarten class recently to read to Christmas story to the class. The class helped read “Bless You Santa,” especially when Santa needed to sneeze. 

Fullerton provides update after water issues

FULLERTON — The city of Fullerton put out a statement updating the community on the status of the public water system.“Water chlorination has ended, and fluoride has been introduced back into the public water system,” Allen Chlopek, city administrator, said in a statement.

Hellbusch brings in near record-setting deer

Tom Hellbusch of Fullerton filled his buck tag during the annual Nebraska rifle season with a deer he will remember for years to come. Nance County Sheriff Ben Bakewell unofficially scored it at a 260”.

Fullerton schools OK teacher contracts

FULLERTON — Fullerton teachers will see just over a 4 percent raise with their new contracts.The Fullerton Board of Education approved the certified teacher contracts at their meeting on Monday.
