Making area birthdays bright

FULLERTON — Students are Fullerton are making birthdays a little brighter in the community.Students in the fourth, fifth and sixth grade classes collected items for birthday bags. Last week the students donated 14 bags to the Fullerton Food Pantry.

Tree of Love returns for Christmas

FULLERTON — There is still time to join in on the holiday fun surrounding the Tree of Love.The Tree of Love is in its 30th year. Each year 1st Bank & Trust puts up a tree in their Fullerton branch and members of the community select a name tag and purchase gifts for the stranger on the tag.

Old Fashion Christmas returns this weekend

FULLERTON — Winter is here, but the forecast is perfect for Fullerton’s Old-Fashioned Christmas this weekend.Christmas music will be playing downtown and is sponsored by Sullivan Agency.The festivities kickoff on Friday with a free soup and dessert supper at Arbor Care.

Don’t delay mailing any Christmas packages

FULLERTON — The temperature is dropping and it’s beginning to feel like Christmas.If you are planning to mail Christmas cards, letters or packages this year, don’t wait too long. Fullerton Postmaster Tom Bates advises residents to get their items in the mail this week.

Sharing God’s love, world wide

Jeanan Glenn picked up Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes on Friday at the home of Fran Cupples. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world.

Decorating for Christmas

St. Peter’s confirmation class assisting the Nance County Veterans personnel in decorating the military museum for Old Fashioned Christmas. On Dec. 7 the museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
