2 veterans receive Quilts of Valor

FULLERTON — On Friday, Fullerton Public Schools held their annual Veteran’s Day program. During the program, two Fullerton veterans, Monte Keith and Chuck Bowman, were recognized for their service to our country by receiving Quilts of Valor.

The junior classes from Fullerton and Twin River Schools were invited to participate in the Nance County Government Day held on Thursday. The day includes: • Steve Pritchard, Nance County Extension Specialist presents a power point message about county and state government and all things Nebraska.

Fullerton performs with best in state

CRETE — Five Fullerton Public School students were selected to participate in Doane University’s honor band. Freshman Lylla Sabata and juniors Morgan Supik, Makayla Robinson, Keila Dubas and Jaci Maxfield were all selected to perform in Doane University’s Fall Festival of Winds this past Saturday.

A FITTING MEMORIAL

FULLERTON — Whether driving by the school, the dentist or going to or from downtown, 4th Street is arguably one of the busiest streets in Fullerton. For many years Fullerton residents couldn’t miss the two large eagle statues that stood on either side of house number 714’s garage door.

Teens turning into entrepreneurs

In recent years the exclamation “No one wants to work anymore!” has been heard a lot. Which is why it is so refreshing to see people working hard at their own businesses, especially when those individuals are still in middle and high school.

13 attend library’s charcuterie board class

FULLERTON — As part of the fall event schedule at Fullerton Public Library, a Charcuterie Board class was held on Monday. The class was taught by Chelsy Harmon of Hastings. Harmon owns and operates Boardology, as a custom charcuterie board creator and teacher.

Loup cookbooks available to customers

COLUMBUS — Loup Power District’s complimentary cookbooks are now available to customers. The cookbook features favorite recipes submitted by Loup Power District employees and retirees and their spouses.
