Genoa Library celebrates Lego Day

GENOA — School year programs are officially underway! We had our first Lego Day on Wednesday, September 6th. The challenge given was to make their names using Legos! It was wonderful seeing how creative the kids could be with the Legos! A few of the names are on display at the library.

Crumley promoted to canal lead

COLUMBUS—Trent Crumley has been promoted to Canal Lead at Loup Power District. In his new role, Crumley oversees canal related projects from the railroad siphon east of Genoa to the tailrace area southeast of Columbus.

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

LINCOLN — September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and every Nebraskan has a role in saving lives. In Nebraska, a person dies by suicide once every 32 hours.

Sitting down with Ruth Myers

FULLERTON — Any person who has lived close to a century will have stories to tell. Thankfully Ruth Myers was willing to sit down with the Nance County Journal and share some of hers. So many in fact, that her story has been split into two articles to be printed over this and the following issue.

Fullerton library has busy fall schedule planned

Now that summer is wrapped up and school is in session, preparations are being made for programs during the school year! Programs will be after school on Wednesdays in September through April until approximately 5 p.m.
