Flower Belles met recently

Fullerton Flower Belles met June 16th at the home of Irene Gruber. President, Jeanan Glenn presided with 11 members present. Copies of the newly revised and approved by-laws were given to each member. Fair booth ideas designed by Jeanan were passed around and members agreed on one of the selections.

Last week the Fullerton Library welcomed State Senator Loren Lippencott and Honor Guard members Chuck Delancy and Henry Biggie for a flag ceremony. Delancy and Biggie lowered the flag and folded it to commentary regarding the meaning of each fold by Senator Lippencott.

On Wednesday, June 21, Sonya Glup with the Nebraska Extension Office met with our Kindness Club. She read the book I Like Myself! by Karen Beaumont. After the story, the children made filter flowers using coffee filters, sharpie, and rubbing alcohol.

Saunter—It’s a word we seldom use in our everyday conversations. Upon consulting my trusty Webster’s dictionary, I’ve concluded that it’s not something most of us do much of, either. “Saunter: to walk about in an idle or leisurely manner.” Sauntering. Taking our time. Slowing down. Relaxing.

Ten years ago June 26, 2013 The coach pitch baseball team finished the season with a perfect record. Six players ended the season batter better than .800 and over half the team hit over .700 for the season. Fullerton won the league championship.
