Day camp is around the corner

The folks at Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp are getting ready for something exciting! They are eagerly preparing for kids – K to 6th grade (next fall) - to come to Day Camp from June 19-23. And, youth groups from Lincoln and Creston, Iowa, are coming to lead the week of camp.

Proclaim Ministry Team: Traveling and Singing

“The experience of traveling with Proclaim this summer—I wouldn’t trade for anything,” a student said. “It is so amazing to see God work through me to give hope and encouragement to other people.” That’s the testimony of one of the young people from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Fla.

Ten years ago June 19, 2013 Police were looking for leads in connection with graffiti that was tagged on the metal fence at Smith’s Body Shop on Fifth Street in Fullerton. The green paint was stolen from the shop yard.

Bake sale supports mission trip

A bake sale and lunch will be held Friday at the Fullerton Community Room. All proceeds from the event will go toward Victory Baptist Church’s upcoming mission trip to Oaxaca, Mexico. The church is sending a team to Mexico from June 21 to June 28.

Nance County Economic Development Agency presents grants to area organizations

Effective April 15, 2023, the Nance County Economic Development Agency (NCDA) function within County Government has transitioned to the County Clerk’s Office.

Library in full swing with summer programs

Area children were on hand Tuesday at the Fullerton Public Library for the Early Literacy Summer Reading Program. The Early Literacy Summer Reading Program will meet every Tuesday from 10-11:30 a.m. in June and July. The program is for children in preschool and getting ready for kindergarten.
