On August 21, 1961, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bobby” Vaughn in Fullerton, and to this union, they were blessed with two children: Michael and Tamara. The family made their home in Oxford, where Judy worked for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad as a clerk operator. After 30 years, Judy retired in 2006.
Judy was a talented quilter and skilled in embroidery. She also enjoyed reading and tending to her flower garden. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Judy was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church and served as a lay speaker for area Methodist churches for 13 years. When she moved to Holdrege, she became a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church. When Judy and Bobby lived in Fullerton, Judy helped begin the Eagles Club chapter.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby; one grandson, Brandon Bishop; brother, Ron Maybon; two sisters: Donna Busch and her husband, Dean; and Bonnie Allen and her husband, Robert.
Judy leaves to celebrate her life; her son, Mike Vaughn and his wife, Roxie of Oxford; her daughter, Tamara Martin and her husband, Mike of Arnold, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
