Warriors are Goldenrod Conference champs

GRAND ISLAND — The Warriors are Goldenrod golf champions.Fullerton won the Goldenrod Conference golf meet on Wednesday at Indianhead Golf Course, edging Archangels Catholic by 29 strokes. The Warriors finished with a 324 on the day with all five golfers earning medals and a spot in the top 10.

Titans, Warriors entering final stretch

STROMSBURG — Fullerton and Twin River athletes made their final stop of the regular season on their road to the NSAA State Track Championships.Both teams were in action on Thursday at the Cross County Invite in Stromsburg.Fullerton’s boys finished fifth overall with 51 points.

Titans season ends at district

LINCOLN — On Thursday the Twin River baseball season came to an end with a 12-0 five inning thud at Lincoln Christian in the opening round of the Class C-5 district.The Titans only managed 1 hit against Class C No. 3 Lincoln Christian starter Drew Mittan who threw 5 innings and struck out 6 batters.

STANTON — Twin River hit the links on Friday at the Stanton Invite at Elkhorn Acres Golf Club.Corbin Rodriguez led the Titans, carding a 94. Chance Swantek shot a 116.Twin River was in action on Tuesday for the Crossroads Conference meet at Hidden Hills Country Club (results after deadline).

BURWELL — The Warriors had a strong showing on Friday at the Goldenrod Conference meet in Burwell.The Fullerton boys team finished fourth at conference meet with 63 points. Nebraska Christian boys and girls swept the team titles.Kane Wetovick won the 400-meter dash (51.49) and 800-meter run (2:03.

Titans compete at Crossroads meet

OSCEOLA — The track season is winding down and the Titans found out where they stack against the best of the Crossroads Conference on Saturday in Osceola.The Twin River boys team finished eighth overall with 25 points. East Butler took home the team title.

Hamik continues strong season

HASTINGS — A Fullerton freshman earned another medal last week on the golf course.Kip Hamik fired a 79 on Thursday at the St. Cecilia Invite at Southern Hills Golf Course to finish sixth overall. He was just three strokes behind the leader, Keaton Corman of Sandy Creek.

Titans fall to ranked teams

GENOA — Last week Twin River ran into a pair of Class C teams who will be playing host to district games this week.On Thursday the Titans traveled to No. 2 Central City/Centura where they managed just three hits and lost an 11-1 five-inning final to the Bison.
