Warriors ready for golf season

FULLERTON — The Warriors look to improve every time they step on the golf course.Fullerton opened their golf season this week and Fullerton coach Shawn Ostransky has a good problem to have: A deep roster.

Patton sets Aurora record in first outdoor meet

AURORA — Roe Patton now owns records at two schools.Aurora senior Roe Patton set a new pole vault school record last week at the Aurora Invite. He broke the record with a 15-03.00 jump on Friday. He would go on to win the event clearing 15-06.00.

Titans looking for consistency on golf course

GENOA — Twin River is looking for consistency on the golf course this season.Returning two players from last year’s squad, new Titan coach Matthew Quick will have to incorporate five new faces when they step on the course.

Warriors earn Goldenrod Conference honors

FULLERTON — Fullerton basketball players received conference honors last week.Kane Wetovick was selected to the Goldenrod All-Conference First Team. Hunter Gochenour was selected to the Goldenrod All-Conference Third Team.

GENOA — Twin River has opened the baseball season with a 2-1 record, picking up wins against Thurston-Cuming County and Raymond Central, while falling to Ralston on the road.Twin River played their first game at home on Monday, defeating Raymond Central 4-2.

CENTRAL CITY — Fullerton and Twin River got their first taste of outdoor competition last week at the Merrick County Invite at Central City.Fullerton’s Jaci Maxfield finished third in the 1600-meter run with a time of 6:12.35. Makayla Robinson finished fifth in the race with a time of 6:14.09.
