Warriors finish 2nd at Shelby Holiday Tournament

SHELBY — The Warriors finished second at the Shelby-Rising City Holiday Tournament last week. Fullerton (4-6) opened the holiday tournament with a 53-47 victory over a winless Clarkson/Leigh team on Thursday before falling 65-34 to Fillmore Central in the championship game.

Titans close out 2023 at Fillmore Central Invite

GENEVA — Twin River wrestlers closed out 2023 at the Fillmore Central Invite on Saturday. Twin River finished 11th overall with 58 team points. Fillmore Central (166 points) edged-out Doniphan Trumbull (160.5 points) for the team title. Zach Held was undefeated at 113 pounds.

Warriors earn pair of medals at Pleasanton

PLEASANTON — The Fullerton Warrior boys wrestling team traveled to Pleasanton on Saturday for a tough class D tournament that consisted of 25 teams. The Warriors returned home with two medalists and placed 10th as a team with 70 points.

Titans finish 3rd in Columbus Holiday Basketball Tournament

COLUMBUS — Twin River bounced back from an opening round 68-57 loss to Lakeview to defeat Schuyler 58-50 in the consolation game of the 42nd annual Columbus Holiday Basketball Tournament at Scotus Catholic.

Titan second half rally falls just short

NELIGH — One or two possessions. That was the difference last Tuesday night. Twin River nearly overcame a slow start against Neligh-Oakdale, falling 44-39 on the road.

Titans topple Warriors, 65-40

NELIGH — Not a bad way to enter the holiday break. Twin River cruised to a 65-40 road win over Neligh-Oakdale last Tuesday. Seniors Kirk Hebda and Ryder Kleckner gave the Titans (5-2) a strong 1-2 punch. Hebda finished with 18 points and 9 rebounds, while Kleckner added 16 points and 7 rebounds.

Fullerton falls to GICC, Pleasanton

GRAND ISLAND — The Warriors traveled to Grand Island on Thursday for a pair of duals, taking on Grand Island Central Catholic and Pleasanton. Fullerton lost to Central Catholic 33-22 and to Pleasanton 42-36. Most of the points were decided by forfeits.
