Professional volleyball coming to CHI Health Center

OMAHA — In cooperation with the Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF), Nebraska Pro Volleyball is bringing a women’s professional team to Omaha. Today, the Omaha-based team named renowned veteran volleyball leader, Diane Mendenhall, of Lincoln, as President of Nebraska Pro Volleyball.

SILVER CREEK —TheTwin River American Legion Post 263 & 144 junior baseball team saw their season come to an end last week in the Class C Junior Area Tournament. Twin River opened the tournament with a 13-0 win over Wood River.

Post 6 season ends at state

ALLIANCE —The Central City/ Fullerton American Legion Post 6 junior baseball team saw their season come to an end in the Nebraska American Legion Class B State Tournament. Post 6 (24-5) opened the tournament against Wahoo, who was one of the favorites to win the title this season.

Fullerton 14U Pony team finishes season

The Fullerton 14U Pony team ended its season on June 25. Fullerton had a young team, but competed tough in every game. They ended the season with a 4-7 record. Fullerton looks to build and grow from this season as they will return 10 of the 12 players next year.

FULLERTON — Gather the family or make some plans with friends and take a trip to the Fullerton softball field on Friday at 8 p.m. to enjoy some men’s slow-pitch softball. Each game is a double header, with the second game beginning after the first game is finished.

Keila Dubas, who is an upcoming junior at Fullerton public school, and the daughter of Eric and Megan Dubas, competed in the Nebraska Junior Golf tournament that was held atYork Country Club on Monday.

Legion Post 6 to play tonight for area title

ST. PAUL — The Central City/ Fullerton American Legion Post 6 junior baseball team is one win away from the area district title. The team takes the field tonight looking to bring the title home. As the tournament’s last unbeaten team, Post 6 took on Battle Creek on Tuesday (results after deadline).

Fullerton tee-ball finishes successful season

FULLERTON — Last week was the final game for the youngest ball players in Fullerton. For the first time in several years Fullerton has been able to support a traveling a tee-ball team.
