Big Ten announces 2024 and 2025 football opponents

The Big Ten announced conference opponents for the 2024 and 2025 football seasons on Thursday, the first two seasons which include new conference members UCLA and USC. The 2024 season will be the first season with 16 teams and no divisional format.

Fort Kearny SRA will allow fireworks July 4

Only one Nebraska state park area will allow fireworks this Fourth of July. Visitors to Fort Kearny State Recreation Area will be allowed to touch off fireworks on July 4. The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission urges guests to be careful when lighting fireworks, which will be allowed from 8 a.m.

Warrior 8u finishes 4th

The Warrior 8u finished in 4th place in 2023 BigTen League Tournament.

Fullerton split games

Fullerton/Palmer Flyers 12u softball split a pair of games with High Plains and Central City last week. They picked up an 8-3 win over High Plains with Brecklyn Kurz at the mound. Fullerton then lost to a strong Central City team 150. ABOVE: Ava Smith throws a pitch against Central City.
