Norfolk man arrested with drugs

NORFOLK — Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol, working with the SNARE Drug Task Force, have arrested a Norfolk man as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.Thursday morning at approximately 7 a.m.

CCC full-time enrollment increases

GRAND ISLAND — Central Community College has announced its total college-wide enrollment for the 2024 fall semester is 6,553, comprised of 1,820 full-time and 4,733 part time students. Full-time equivalent student numbers are up over three percent which is positive news for CCC.

On September 4, 2024, The Nance County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Greeley County Sheriff requesting assistance in locating a missing person in Wolbach.

Two small planes crash in separate northeast Nebraska incidents

NORFOLK — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol remain on scene of two small plane crashes that occurred this morning in northeast Nebraska.The Nebraska State Patrol is the lead investigating agency on the plane crash that occurred in Knox County. The crash was reported at approximately 9:30 a.m.

Art Council announces shows

CENTRAL CITY — Merrick Arts Council in Central City announces its 2024-25 season with five shows starting Sept. 15. All shows are held at the Central City Performing Arts Center, Edwin and Bernice Lock Theatre.Opening the season will be stand-up comedian Cyrus Steele on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m.
