Fullerton’s junior class returned home on Thursday with the traveling trophy after winning a round of Jeopardy against Twin River at the end of County Government Day. Students were quizzed with things they learned throughout the day.

Fullerton’s junior class returned home on Thursday with the traveling trophy after winning a round of Jeopardy against Twin River at the end of County Government Day. Students were quizzed with things they learned throughout the day.

County Government Day

Part of County Government Day includes visiting the different offices around the courthouse. Fullerton and Twin River juniors spent their afternoon meeting with county officials and learning the different aspects of local government.

TeamMates planning Chili Cook-Off

Warrior duo named Believers & Achievers

Two Fullerton seniors — Elena Reimer and Everett Gleason — were selected for Currency Believers & Achievers local winners.The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) and Currency are proud to sponsor Believers & Achievers, a state-wide awards program that recognizes Nebraska’s future leaders.

Sabata selected for All-State Band

FULLERTON — Lylla Sabata has been selected for the All-State Band.Each year, more than 2,000 musicians audition for the band. The All-State Band is made up of students from classes A-D and is one of the highest musical honors attainable in Nebraska.

Fullerton announced on Tuesday that seven students were selected to the Doane Honor Band that will be held on Nov. 8. Students selected include Back Row: Colton Harris, Aubrey Thies, Lylla Sabata, PJ Sabata. Front Row: Emilyn Kurz, Elena Reimer, and Riley Thomas.

‘Flamingos’ set up nests in Fullerton

FULLERTON — A flock of flamingos were seen recently staking out possible locations for potential nests around Fullerton.Not native to Nance County, these birds spook easily and can be tricky to get rid of, but a group of Fullerton choir students have the solution.
