Twin River hires next superintendent

GENOA — The Twin River Board of Education have hired the district’s next superintendent.The board met on Monday and approved a two-year contract with Brandi Bartels. Bartels, who will join the district in July, currently is the principal at Randolph High School.

Twin River board calls 2 special meetings

GENOA — Twin River Board of Education is moving forward with their search for their next superintendent.The board has scheduled two special meetings in the coming days that will deal with the search. A special meeting is set for 5 p.m.

Twin River begins superintendent search

GENOA— Twin River Schools will be looking for a new superintendent.Chris Lecher, who was brought in on a one-year contract as interim superintendent, will leave the district when his contract expires in June. He had previously indicated he would like to stay with the district long-term.

Twin River discusses science offerings

GENOA — Twin River’s Board of Education met Monday night and they heard from a parent who was disappointed with some of the courses offered by the school district.

Twin River receives grant

Twin River school district nurse, Tara Urkoski accepting $1,500.00 from the Nance County Foundation, represented by Annette Swantek. Tara is working to acquire a new device to check vision on ALL students, including those with autism and other health issues.
