Boone-Nance Cattlemen plan annual banquet

ALBION — Boone-Nance Cattlemen are planning their annual banquet for Saturday, April 5, at the Event Center at the Boone County Fairgrounds in Albion.A social hour will begin at 6 p.m. followed by the prime rib dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Fullerton board votes ‘No’

FULLERTON — They were between a rock and a hard place.The Fullerton Board of Education voted to deny option enrollment to four potential students at their meeting on Monday. The main reason for the denials stem from potential class sizes.

Cornhusker PPD customers give $5,700 to help their communities

Cornhusker Power Goodwill Fund trustees awarded $5,700 to 23 organizations at the February 3 meeting. Cornhusker Public Power District CEO/GM Clay Gibbs said, “These organizations are doing great things in the community, and we are very proud to be a part of it.

FULLERTON — Fullerton Mayor KC Rieken has named a new city administrator.Rieken informed the members of the Fullerton City Council that City Clerk/Treasurer Patty Noble has been appointed as the new city administrator.

Clean-up day set for April 5

FULLERTON — The city of Fullerton announced a city-wide cleanup day is scheduled for April 5.Bins for trash and scrap iron will be available beginning at 8 a.m. at the Nance County Fairgrounds.

Food pantry moves to new location

FULLERTON — The Fullerton Food Pantry is now located at 205 Fuller St. (old fire hall) along with the Free Little Food Pantry. The pantry is still open every first Wednesday of the month from 5-6:30 p.m. and the Free Little Pantry is open 24/7 for urgent needs or donation drop offs.

9 Warriors selected for Class D All-State Band

KEARNEY — Nine members of the Fullerton band have been selected for the Class D All-State Band.Riley Thomas and Kinzie Sharman will perform with the Jazz Band. Lylla Sabata and Makayla Robinson will perform with the Wind Ensemble.
