Journal Rewind

Ten years ago Jan. 1, 2014 Loup Power District announced it was raising rates, but they would remain competitive. The overall increase was 2.64 percent. The Warriors boys basketball team was the runner-up at the GICC Holiday Tournament.

BIRTH: Stetson Michael Lee Pfeil

Stetson Michael Lee Pfeil, a son, was born on Nov. 8, 2023 at 7:29 p.m. He is the son of Colton and Brandi Pfeil of Gillette, Wyo. At birth he weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and was 20 inches long.

Journal Rewind

Ten years ago Dec. 25, 2013 Fullerton Head Start received a $1,600 from Valero Renewable Fuels Co. in Albion. The funds were used to purchase iPads. The Fullerton One Act team finished the season placing 5th overall in their district. Three actors were honored for the superior performances.

Each December I tend to think about one of the best Christmas / birthday gifts I ever received. It is a gift that in some shape or form has continued to give.
