Ten years ago July 31, 2013 Macy Shotkoski, 9, of Fullerton and her grandfather, Bill Backes, competed in the Cornhusker State Games. Shotkoski placed 4th in the long jump and won the 1500-meter run. Backes competed in raquet ball and won a gold medal.

The Teen Nook is now officially open at the Fullerton Public Library. The library held an open house on Monday to introduce the space to the community. More than 10 teens came out to play games, eat pizza and see what the library has to offer residents their age.
