Fullerton Head Start had a busy week last week celebrating the Week of the Young Child. The kids made signs with handprints on them to hang in businesses around Fullerton and Genoa. Tammy Carlson, Fullerton Elementary Principal, stopped by on Wednesday and read a book to the kids.

Johnny Nash may have started his song with “I can see clearly now, the rain has gone,” but what about someone with cataracts. They cannot easily see “all the obstacles in their way”, and there are not “dark clouds that make you blind” like in the song, but cataracts do cause vision clouding.

On Thursday, March 16, KRISTINE CHMIEL competed in Persuasive Speaking at the C-2 State Speech Meet held at Kearney High School. The morning consisted of three preliminary rounds, in which Kristine received all superior ratings.

The high school band received a 1 (Superior Rating) which is the highest possible score! We played Darkheart and Lexington March, two dynamically challenging and thrilling pieces. The choir received a 1 (Superior Rating) which is the highest possible score!
