50 YEARS OF SERVICE

GENOA — Denny Backman and Bob Patrick both joined the U.S. Army in 1954. They both served overseas in Germany. And on Thursday, both men were recognized for their many years of continuous membership to the American Legion.

District talks free lunch program

GENOA — Soon there may be no such thing as a free lunch.Twin River is considering eliminating its free lunch program for the summer months. The Twin River Board of Education discussed the program on Monday at their regular March meeting.

City sets garage sale, clean-up days

FULLERTON — Mark your calendars, clean out your garage and get ready for spring.The city of Fullerton announced that a city-wide cleanup will take place on Saturday, April 27. Dumpsters will be available at the Nance County Fairgrounds, located at 406 N. Ida Street from 8 a.m.

Fullerton’s Future receives more donations

Loup Power now operating under summer hours
