Our unaccountable judiciary

It has become commonplace in our day for people to raise the alarm about “threats to our democracy!” However, the very premise of the statement is skewed. The United States is not a democracy. It is a constitutional republic.

Is God a Democrat or a Republican? Of course, He is neither! That doesn’t make Him a Libertarian or Independent either. No political party owns God. And they don’t own truth or science either. I would rather belong to a party that is owned by God than a party that owns god. See the difference?

The school year is coming to an end and that means that our area athletes are entering the final weeks of the spring sports season.One of the highlights of covering sports this spring has been taking Calvin with me to track meets. He has helped me cover football and basketball this year.

April is about over. Can you believe it? Time does fly the older we get. I tell my kids it seems like they were born yesterday; okay, maybe the day before. I remember it like it was yesterday. However this weekend my husband took my son to a college fair. We are not ready yet.
